Who we are
The River is a family of imperfect people that have found hope in Jesus Christ and are seeking to know and love Jesus more. We are committed to doing what we can to help you know and experience the love of Jesus. We want as many people as possible to experience the life changing experience that knowing Jesus gives. It’s really that simple!
Where we come from
Our church was founded in 1970 as the Morlan Park Church of God. In 2000 a prophetic word was given during a powerful seven weeks revival full of miracles. The message declared that this church would flow like a river through our community bringing spiritual life to all it touched.
Renamed The River Church of God we are a multi-generational church where people of all races, backgrounds and walks of life are being impacted by Jesus. We come together to worship, grow in our relationship with God and discover authentic relationships.
Where we’re headed
We continue to be a place of hope, meaning and purpose – a movement that is changing lives. We believe that God wants us to reach beyond the walls of the church building and touch our community with the life changing experience that only Jesus can give.
